The project involves the development of a white sensory room for use by people from age ranges 2-19 with profound and moderate special needs. The applicant states this will provide a calm, safe environment in which to relax and escape from pain and discomfort. The white room will have colourful furniture which helps people with visual impairments and the installation of furniture such as the vibro-acoustic seat helps low base frequencies that resonate through the user’s body. The applicant states that the room will provide a powerful sensory experience for people with special needs.
