Yorkshire Projects
ITV Yorkshire transmits to nearly four million people living in towns and villages throughout North Yorkshire, East Riding / Humber, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire.
Over the past five years of the People’s Millions competition we have seen some great projects in the region. Previous winners include a city farm, a specialist inclusive centre, multi-use games areas and many more.

Region Projects
- Seaside Green
- An existing, overgrown, garden behind a community resource centre will be cleared of greenery and redundant/dangerous structures. A more pleasant and sustainable garden, with a covered area, will be created, accessible to users of the centre and the wider community.
- Milnsbridge Matters
- The project will improve three neglected pieces of land within Milnsbridge, to create a network of safe and accessible spaces for the community to enjoy. Artists will be commissioned to create and install pieces of public art using design ideas produced during school and community workshops. The project will form part of the River Colne Sculpture Trail, which aims to reflect the valley's industrial heritage and environmental diversity.
- Hunshelf Area Parish Playground Initiative (HAPPI)
- The project will refurbish an existing, run-down, playground, creating a better layout and adding new equipment. The site is currently closed for health and safety reasons. The project will take place in Green Moor, near Sheffield.
- All Weather Activity Area (AWAA)
- The project will adapt an overgrown area at a children's farm into a wildlife garden, and convert an old paddock into a fenced, accessible all-weather activity/pony riding area. A temporary shelter will also be provided for educational use in wet weather. The project will take place in Whirlow Hall Farm in Sheffield.
- Copthorne's Catching Up
- The project will transform a derelict playground into a multi-use games area. This would be used by school groups and other members of the local community, who currently have very limited access to sport and recreation facilities. The project will take place in Bradford.
