Murdoch House - The Home of Gas Lighting Case Study

The project will make improvements to Murdoch House and develop the space for a permanent exhibition area, with interactive displays. Visitors will discover and learn about gas lighting and other inventions of William Murdoch. The refurbishment will also enhance the space’s use as a multi-purpose community building for affordable hire by local community groups.

Murdoch House is a really valuable small scale community resource right in the middle of Redruth and has been a key partner in much of the regeneration work in the town. The money would help to improve the facilities there and enable them to play an even more active role in Redruth.
