Life Limiting Illness Film & Web Project Case Study

The project will facilitate a joint film and storytelling project between 15 young people with Cystic Fibrosis and 20 young people with life-limiting epilepsy. The young people will work together to produce a web-forum and three short films. The applicant states that young people with Cystic Fibrosis cannot engage in group work due to their condition and the risk of cross-contamination of infection. The applicant will employ professional filmmakers to engage with the participants in one-on-one sessions in which they will set up a web-forum where they can communicate with one another via webcams, blogs and web diaries. These stories will then be turned into scripts by the young people who will participate in group sessions to develop their drama and confidence skills. The project will culminate in an showcase to the wider community.
