Pontoons Case Study

Derwenthaugh Boat Station of the Sea Cadet Corps

The project will provide pontoons on the river to allow the organisation better access to its boats.

Currently the boats are on moorings, which are accessed by dinghies, and can only be reached at low tide. The project will install a rise and fall pontoon and walkway, which will enable access at all times and will make the boats accessible to people with disabilities.

Approximately 500 people will benefit from the project.
