The project aims to make the river a focal point in the community.

It will create a well-defined riverside walkway with seating and litter bins, to enable people to access the riverbank and observe wildfowl in their natural environment.

The project will benefit all 12,000 inhabitants of the town, plus any tourists or visitors.
