This project will provide a wildlife haven for birds, small mammals and insects right in the heart of one of Derbyshire’s fastest growing villages and bring together the many and varied community groups in the area, not just in the creation but also the use and maintenance of this community resource.
The local scouting groups, a village playgroup and the Hilton village gardening club, along with organisations such as Toyota, Rolls Royce, Persimmon Homes and the Rotary of Etwall and Hilton are all helping the Parents, Teachers & Friends Association to bring a touch of outdoor learning to the whole community.
This is a long term project which will leave a legacy for the community of Hilton long into the future and will be available for use by a wide cross section of the residents of Hilton and the surrounding area
