The project will develop the Golden Valley Park, to both increase its size and increase its accessibility to the local community.

A new footbridge will be constructed over a heritage railway line that runs through the park, whilst new footpaths and fencing will also be added.

4.8 acres of woodland that adjoins the park will also be purchased to extend the park. There will be an estimated 150,000 beneficiaries.
