This project will combine the features of BMX bike track and a mountain bike track in Cardrona near Peebles in the Scottish Borders to create a facility for young people to use and enjoy on any type of bike. It will encourage healthy exercise, self-confidence and social interaction by merging aspects of popular bike parks and providing a unique experience that allows for the development of cycling skills in a safe and fun environment.

If successful, the new purpose-built bike track called a “pump n’ jump” will be built early next year on a 250m2 site at the southern end of the village. This will be the first development of its kind in the 7stanes region and has full support from the Forestry Commission, Alpine Bikes and many biking enthusiasts across the globe. It will allow riders to develop skills in a safe and controlled environment.
