Coldstream Community Trust (St Cuthberts)

This project will convert part of a former church building, purchased by the the Coldstream Community Trust in 1998, into a large multi-purpose community hall.

Two thirds of the building has already been converted to a community centre owned and managed by the Trust and the conversion of the remaining third to create the hall will improve facilities for community groups and satisfy demand for whole community events including drama, civic and festival events.

Hire for wedding receptions and other functions will generate income. The intention is that the conversion of the building will create a focus for the regeneration of the town providing a wide range of new activities and opportunities for the community and a new tourist attraction and source of income.
