Emersons Green Skate Park Group used the money they won to improve a local skate park to offer a safe environment where young people can socialise. The win followed a two-year campaign by a Bristol father whose teenage son died in a plane crash in 2007. The park will be a memorial to Jamie Clapp, who used to enjoy skateboarding in the area and had begun fundraising for improvements to the park before he died.
