What happens next

When we receive your entry we’ll check that we can fund your organisation and project. Then we’ll draw up a shortlist and reserve list for each ITV region. We’ll let you know if you’re on the shortlist or reserve list by 20 August 2010.

Here’s what happens if you’re on the shortlist or reserve list.

September 2010

  • You’ll need to submit a project plan by 10 September.
  • You’ll have the chance to go on some free training on how to present your idea on TV.
  • We’ll visit all projects on the shortlist.
  • If an entry drops out or we find we can’t fund it, we’ll replace it with one from the reserve list.

October 2010

  • You’ll be able to promote your entry online here on The People’s Millions website.
  • During the last week in October we’ll confirm who you are up against and the date the contest is due to be broadcast.

November 2010

  • ITV will get in touch to make a short film about each shortlisted entry.
  • Every night from 22 to 26 November each ITV region will broadcast films about two projects.
  • Each night viewers’ phone votes will decide which one wins.
