We’ll pay for some or all of your project costs. And if you’re a voluntary or community organisation, we’ll also contribute towards your organisation’s overheads.
But we won’t pay for:
- day-to-day running costs, for example, utility bills, council tax, rent, insurance, repairs and maintenance
- current or regular activities, including those we have funded before
- general appeals or fundraising activities for your organisation or others.
- activities that have started before you accept our grant offer
- anything you spend money on or have committed to spending money on before the grant is confirmed.
- cost of buying a permanent building
- cost of constructing a new building
- access improvements made only to meet Disability Discrimination Act requirements
- activities that are statutory obligations or will replace statutory funding, including activities and subjects on the curriculum in schools
- endowments
- feasibility studies
- items that only benefit one person
- loan or interest repayments
- projects with high maintenance costs, unless you can pay for them
- religious or political activities.
