Getting Better Together Shotts Healthy Living will transform an area of ground into a garden for the benefit of the People in Shotts. We will create a sensory garden, grow vegetables & plants, it will allow people to learn new skills and meet new people. We will also create a Graffiti Art project which will illustrate Shotts through the ages.

The sensory garden will provide a restful space and the garden will also be accessible to wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility. Accessible walkways will lead to seated areas around the garden and raised beds will allow all members of the community to be involved in planting and nurturing, and to experience the freedom and the pleasures of the outdoors. Children from the schools & Nurseries will have their own plots that they will plant and care for. The garden will belong to the People of Shotts.

Registering and supporting us on this website does not count as voting. The voting phone number will be advertised here and in the Daily Mirror on the day. A short video about this project and the competing project will also be shown on the ITV regional news between 6.00pm and 6.30pm.
