This project would enable the organisation to replace and install a new set of five double shuttered windmill sails and frames onto the 18thC. Holgate Windmill, a Grade II listed building. This would allow the windmill to produce its own range of flour, using locally grown grain, to sell to the community and to open the mill to schools and visitors for mill tours and milling demonstrations.

The mill is also used for art and photography exhibitions, musical events, talks and the ever popular ‘Santa in the Mill’ at Christmas time.
