The project will complete the refurbishment of the Foundry House community centre with a much needed community café, catering standard kitchen and part-time local produce shop. Once completed the project will provide training in catering skills leading to employment for four young people. A café manager will be employed to make use of local produce to provide inexpensive, imaginatively prepared food and drink for the local community and users of the community centre. There will be courses in cooking and healthy eating for parents of low income families, young people living alone and older people. The project will link with other local food projects and develop good value food schemes.
Bydd y prosiect yn cwblhau cam terfynol adnewyddu canolfan gymunedol i ddarparu caffi cymunedol a chegin gyda siop fach sy’n gwerthu bwyd. Ar ôl ei gwblhau bydd y prosiect yn darparu hyfforddiant arlwyo a choginio i bobl ifanc, pobl hŷn, pobl ddi-waith a gwirfoddolwyr. Byddai’r prosiect hefyd yn darparu man cymdeithasol i bobl gwrdd, byddai’n cysylltu â rhandiroedd a chynlluniau tyfu eraill, ac yn darparu cyfleoedd i wirfoddolwyr helpu yn y caffi a’r siop.
