Highbury has applied to The People’s Millions for £50,000! Our project is called ‘Roof over our heads!’ The money requested is half of the cost of an ‘In-fill extension’ which will create a light and airy room. This will allow a wide range of users to enjoy its facilities: children learning about harnessing the sun’s energy; Year 1’s receiving 1 to 1 tuition; Year 6’s relaxing at break and lunch times; social workers reporting at Team Around the Child meetings; mums and dads attending family learning; local residents volunteering for the Gardening Club; elderly people on shopping expeditions using the school minibus; young people on work experience and many more.
