The project will enable the school to undertake the first phase of a larger project which is to set up a small animal farm. This phase would involve the purchase of hens, poultry housing and equipment to rear them, to encourage students and local people to get involved in producing locally grown fresh food. Children will also be encouraged to hatch their own chickens. Local people will benefit from training and volunteering opportunities.
